üç farklı söylem var şarkının kime yazıldığına dair. birincisi isa, ikincisi şehit olmuş herkes, üçüncüsü ise grupça taptıkları, aenima albümünü ithaf ettikleri 26 şubatta pankreas kanseri sonucu hayatını kaybeden büyük komedyen bill hicks'tir. hicks onlar için çok şey ifade eder bunu dile getirmekten çekinmezler... ben de ona yazdıklarını düşünmekteyim..

Eulogy methiye anlamındadır.Şarkıda Maynard isa'ya seslenir.Ama aslında daha da genele yayar daha da derine iner.

''You've claimed all this time that you would die for me , Why then are you so surprised when you hear your own eulogy ? '' kısmıyla kudurtur , ''We need the fuckin space to nail the next fool martyr'' kısmıyla doruğa çıkarır ve en sonunda ''goodbye'' ile doruktan olağanca hızıyla aşağı düşürür bu ulvi grup.

aenimanın sessizce çaldığı kapı..
eulogy, ölenlerin arkasından söylenen methiye..
anlamı böyle bişey ama bunu üstad almış, ne hallere sokmuş:

" why then are you so surprised when you hear your own eulogy? "

bu sözün ardından bi kere daha ölünmez mi a canlar sorarım size...
