Tam yirmi dakika önce, kalbim normalden çok daha hızlı attı. Neden mi ? 2007 yılında yapılacak Eurovision yarışmasına Morrissey' in katılmaya gönlü olduğunu biliyorduk zaten, BBC geçenlerde bu haberi doğruladı. Aslında kesin birşey yok, Morrissey herhangi bir açıklama yapmadı. Beni asıl sevindiren Ali Kırca' nın ağzından '' The Smiths '' kelimesini duymaktı. Aynen şöyle dedi; '' Seksenlere damgasını vuran Smiths grubunun solisti Morrissey ''... Ah, nasıl mutlu oldum bilseniz. Üstüne birde eski birkaç Morrissey görüntüsü , 5 saniye filan sürdü maalesef , koymazlar mı! Morrissey, Sabah Sabah Seda Sayan' a konuk olsa izlerim, programa bağlanırım hatta direkt oraya giderim. Neyse; haber ilerlerken diğer ülkelerin adaylarından bahsedildi, tabii kafam fezada. Dinlemedim o kısımları. Birden '' There Is A Light That Never Goes Out '' ın konser görüntüsü geldi, ben ekrana paralel. Kısa haber, bitti hemen. ATV' de The Smiths görmek; yeni bir doyum noktası, tarifsiz bir keyif...

Katılsın Eurovision' a, kazanır zaten. Aslında bir korkum var. Şudur ki; şimdi Morrissey haliyle harika bir şarkı yapacak, yayacak tüm dünyaya Eurovision' la. Artacak yani dinleyeni. Ülkemizde bilinçsiz gençlik ( tikky ) el atacak. Size sesleniyorum; Morrissey' i rahat bırakın, bana bırakın. Hem Morrissey bir... Tamam, söylemeyeceğim....
