Öncelikle 11 Eylül e karşı duyulan tepkinin başka bir yapımda daha kolayca göremeyeceğimiz şekilde, başka bir filmde duyamayabileceğimiz vurucu repliklerle dile getirilmesi. Monty’nin kendisi ve yakın çevresiyle hesaplaşırken yaşadıkları. Bir yaşamdan göz göre göre yedi yıl çalınırken herkesin buna göz yummasının getirdiği pişmanlıklar...vs,vs,vs... Bu tür bir nerde hata yaptım? filmi izlemeyeli ne kadar da uzun zaman olmuş,seyrederken farkettim. Oldukça duyarlı, başından sonuna dek. Hem bireysel olarak Monty’nin kendine, hem çevresine ve yaşadığı şehir olan New York’un toplumsal profiline, hem de toplumsal bir trajedi olan 11 Eylül ve Bin Laden’e olan öfkesi, duyarlılığı ve pişmanlıklar, burada başrolde olan.. Monty’nin babasıyla olduğu restoranın tuvaletinde ayna karşısına geçerek, yaşadığı şehir NewYork’ dan ailesine dek herkese olan öfkesini birbiri ardına küfürler yağdırarak dışarı vurduğu, sonrasında ise aslında hiçkimsenin suçlu olmadığı, suçlanacak biri varsa onun da kendisi olduğunun farkına vardığı o uzun monoloğu barındıran sahne,beni en çok etkileyen filmin en önemli sahnesi bence. Diğer önemli bölüm ise filmin son yarım saatinde akan görüntüler eşliğinde Monty’nin babasına ait ve hapisten sonraki “yeni bir hayat” a dair monoloğu barındıran sahneler, ki tüm bunlar izlerken, izleyip bir yandan yaşarken sizin de canınızı acıtabilecek denli güçlü sahneler.. Bir fon müziği bir filmle ancak bu kadar iyi örtüşebilir diyebileceğim mülkemmel bir de film müziği çalışmasına sahip bu film (Terence Blanchard)... her karede, 11 Eylül’ e dair acının, pişmanlıklarla yoğrulduğu anları, izleyene gerçekten de hissettirebilen, dramatik yapısı oldukça güçlü bir müzik, tıpkı film gibi.. Ayrıca jeneriği özellikle dikkatle izlemenizi isterim. Çünkü akan jenerik boyunca iki dikey ışık hep orada ki, bu iki ışık artık varolmayan ikiz kuleleri simgeliyor ve izlerken bir noktadan sonra tüylerinizin ürperdiğini hissedebilirsiniz... Ve hal böyleyken dvd menüsünde devamlı akan fotoğraflardaki gülen insan yüzleri de acaba o trajedide yaşamını yitiren insanlardan sadece bir bölümü mü diye bir soru sormadan da edemiyor insan. Çünkü hepsi öyle gülümsüyor ki, sanki hiçbişey yaşanmamış gibi... Kısaca hem çok büyük bir bir trajediye, hem de harika bir hayat uğruna yapılan yanlış tercihlerin getirdiği pişmanlıklara adanan güçlü bir film 25th Hour...
